Meet Mike Jamieson – Your  A Better Calgary (ABC) Party Candidate for Ward 12

My name is Mike Jamieson, and I’m running to be your next City Councillor for Ward 12. I live in the village of Prestwick in McKenzie Towne with my wife and two children. Like many of you, I’m deeply invested in the future of our neighbourhoods and our city.

I’ve built a career as a partner in a successful construction firm, where I’ve learned the value of hard work, smart planning, and making every dollar count. I’m stepping into this race because I’m tired of watching City Hall lose focus on the basics—roads, water, safety, snow clearing, and infrastructure.

Instead of addressing the everyday needs of Calgarians, Council has prioritized ideological agendas and costly pet projects—like an $87 billion climate plan, while our taxes keep rising and services decline.

I'm proud to be the nominated candidate for A Better Calgary Party (ABC). We’re not a traditional party—we don’t have a leader or a whip. Our mission is simple: put the Ward first.

I’ve seen how bureaucracy and broken priorities are holding Calgary back. It’s time for common-sense leadership that reflects the values of working families and local business owners.

I’m committed to fiscal responsibility, practical solutions, and standing up for what matters most to the people of Ward 12.
