About Us
A Better Calgary Party was founded on the belief that government should serve the people, not the other way around. We are committed to focusing on core priorities: delivering essential services, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring that every Calgarian sees real value in their local government.
We believe in balancing fiscal responsibility with compassion, protecting individual freedoms, and supporting the family as the cornerstone of a strong society. Our approach is guided by transparency, accountability, and accessibility. The same values we expect from every candidate who represents us.
We stand for local decision-making that puts neighborhoods first. Municipal issues should be resolved as close to the community as possible, with citizens empowered to take an active role in shaping the future of their city.
We are proud to support environmental stewardship, entrepreneurial innovation, and the hardworking spirit that has built and sustained Calgary.
We don’t have a party line.
Together, we are building a better Calgary — grounded in conservative values, powered by community.

The A Better Calgary Party will not be putting forward policies. That will be up to the candidates. The role of the ABC Party is to elect candidates based on the values and principles, as determined by our membership, and for those candidates to develop their own policies.
-
No, we are not associated with other groups or parties, this includes provincial or federal political parties. We are a stand-alone organization focused only on municipal politics.
As a big-tent member based organization, we are hoping to build and grow to thousands of members who will come from a variety of backgrounds and interests. We feel this broad, welcoming approach will ensure we serve all Calgarians.
-
We feel our values and principles are rooted in common sense, fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency and a love for this city as a whole and the communities within it.
This will resonate with people from all backgrounds, regardless of religion or ethnicity. People should be judged by their character and not by their race or the religion they subscribe to.
